Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Wednesday November 24. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

The DICKCISSEL and MOCKINGBIRD continue on the Bayocean Spit of Coos Bay.
The GROUND-DOVE and TROPICAL KINGBIRDS continue along Wireless Road near
Astoria. On November 22 a CLAY-CORED SPARROW and five TRUMPETER SWANS were
along Wireless Road. A possible RED-THROATED PIPIT was reported November 20
from Yaquina Head. On November 21 a possible BROAD-WINGED HAWK was reported
over SW Portland. A female BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER was seen November 22 at the
Wood River Wetlands on Upper Klamath Lake. A TUFTED DUCK was at the boat
basin in Hood River November 19.

A CATTLE EGRET is now being seen in the farm fields Along Hwy 101 near the
Tillamook Airport. A SNOWY OWL is being seen along the Wilson River Loop
Road east of the Shilo Inn in Tillamook. On November 20 a GYRFALCON was seen
at the Cape Meares Lighthouse.

MOUNTAIN CHICKADEES are still being reported from many western Oregon
feeders. On November 22 two LAPLAND LONGSPURS were near Flores Lake. A
TROPICAL KINGBIRD was in North Bend November 22. That day a bright
MACGILLIVRAY?S WARBLER was on the eastside of Coos Bay. Two TRUMPETER SWANS
are now being seen near Tillamook.

On November 24 two VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS and 14 BARN SWALLOWS were over
Vancouver Lake. The EMPEROR GOOSE continues along Honeyman Road in Scappoose
Bottoms. A PINE GROSBEAK was at Portland?s Pittock Mansion November 20. The
next day a PACIFIC LOON and a SURF SCOTER was in Salem. On November 22 a
group of LAPLAND LONGSPURS and a couple of SNOW BUNTINGS were in a pipit
flock along Davis Road near Halsey. A BURROWING OWL was photographed nearby.
On 22 a SAY?S PHOEBE was in Eugene. A TREE SPARROW was at Fern Ridge
Reservoir the next day. On November 18 two TRUPETER SWANS were near Island
City on the Grande Ronde Valley. A REDPOLL is now coming to the feeders at
Malheur NWR Headquarters.
