A nice consolation prize for having missed the Rock Wren, the Great Egret, and every other recent goodie. This White-throated Sparrow--in some bare-branchy shrubs near a Spotted Towhee--gave me some good poses and foraging views as I went down the Spokane Street stairs just up from 61st Ave SW (near Beach Drive). The only other one I've ever seen was in my backyard last winter (West Seattle).
