Hey Tweeters!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I did a little morning birding, and had fun despite the heavy fog that
draped the snoqualmie valley!
At Sikes Lake me and my grandma got lucky enough to get a few feet from a
Bittern, without realizing it until it flew and startled us of course! What
a good bird!
There were also Trumpeter Swans, Canada Geese, Cackling Geese and ducks of
many sorts in abundance, but it was hard to tell how many or what they all
where with the fog. We also got a flyover of 7 or so Greater White-fronted
Geese, a nice surprise!
Heading over to Chinook Bend we saw a Ring-necked Pheasant on the road. I'm
unsure if it was an escapee or not, but it was very skinny! At Chinook we
did not see a Dipper, but we did get great looks of a young Red-tailed
Hawk, very fun. There were also a bunch of Song Sparrows, and even one
Lincoln's.
It was very cold, and foggy, but still a beautiful day!!!!
