Subject: [Tweeters] Wintering birds and a surprise hunter

A perky Fox Sparrow and a pair of Varied Thrushes have arrived in the NE
area of Burien's Seahurst Park SW of downtown Seattle. A textbook-perfect
adult female Sharp-shinned hawk "shopped" yesterday at my deck
feeders---four stories up and at canopy level with the surrounding trees.
The small birds dining at my deck feeders were truly disgruntled. A
version of "Black Thursday?" I was fortunate enough to get some fair
photos of the female varied thrush and the sharp-shinned.

All the best cheers,
