I saw six Ancient Murrelet flying around on Discovery Bay this morning. As
seems to be typical when they come into the bay this time of year the land,
dive and come up only to quickly take flight again. Numbers of Bufflehead,
Scoter and Common Goldeneye are up this fall on the bay. Today a Horned
Grebe was securing a fish in its beak and a Red-breasted Merganser
approached and the grebe moved quickly away.
