The two Rock Wrens reported yesterday at Discovery Park by Jordan Gunn, Evan Houston, and Kathy and Arne Slettebak were still present this morning. At about 8:00, while walking the Beach Route for the monthly park census, I saw one wren briefly at West Point right on the path outside the lighthouse fence just around the north side of the point, but it did not reappear. Later, Penny Rose relocated another wren on the driftwood on the South Beach not far from where the road comes down the hill, and lots of people got to see it. I think this is where at least one wren was seen yesterday. There is a white plastic barrier at this spot. I?m pretty sure these two sightings were of different birds.

I also saw a flock of 6 Snow Geese pass overhead, and Jason Vassallo told me he saw more. Jason said he also saw a couple of Parasitic Jaegers off the point.
