Kitsap Audubon is producing and funding an interpretive sign for Point No Point County Park in Hansville to?explain why it?has been designated?an Important Bird Area (IBA).? A photo of a "feeding frenzy" would be an valuable addition.? We can't pay for it; but would certainly credit the photographer.? The Kitsap County Department of Parks & Recreation has agreed to install this sign near the lighthouse.?
The purpose of designating?an internationally recognized?IBA is to raise local awareness of its critical?value to birds and the importance of protecting it.? Promoting local recognition and understanding is therefore?essential.?
