This morning in Discovery Park, around 11 am at the Capehart site, there were several raptors around, including Coopers, Merlin & Red-tail. Also lifting out of the trees was a bird that seemed really close in appearance to Greg Thompson's photos of a light morph Harlan's Hawk. It had a milky white base color to its breast, belly and wing linings. Throat was more darkly streaked. Upper tail was mostly (80%?) red, but the base of the tail had a wash of the same milky white color, giving a spotted appearance. It was quite distinctive.
