Subject: [Tweeters] 2 Short-eared Owls at Edmonds Pier

This morning, 10/26/15, at 8:33am, a SEOW flew in from the west (possibly from Kitsap Peninsula) about 500 feet above the water; it flew over the port, heading east. When it arrived over land, 3 crows were there in flight to welcome the owl to Edmonds.

At 9:37am, a SEOW approached the pier from the north (possibly from Whidbey Island) about 200 feet above the water. It flew south along the coastline.

3 weeks ago, 10/5/15, I observed my first Short-eared Owl from the Edmonds Pier. It was far north of the ferry dock, flying high above the water and west to east, and was barely identifiable, due to the distance.
