Hi Tweeters,

Just before noon today (10/26/15) I spent 10 minutes viewing a TROPICAL
KINGBIRD near 8747 Willow Grove Rd. It was preening on a power line wire
and stayed to do a little flycatching, before flying off to the west and
gaining elevation as it went out of binocular range. I could not relocate
it around the tip of the loop and do believe it has vacated the area, but
you might keep an eye out if birding Willow Grove.

At Willow Grove Park there was a female SURF SCOTER out toward Crims
Island, but probably always in Oregon as the state line is close to the WA
shore at this point.

Later this afternoon I saw my first of the fall ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK at the
end of Guild Rd in the Woodland Bottoms. The continuing (but sporadic)
BLACK PHOEBE also was seen, today inside the dike near the diking district
buildings at the north end of Dike Rd. - also in the Woodland Bottoms.
