Not sure what time to look for the Brown Booby, and I wonder if it is related to both time of day, and to tides. I stopped by Tuesday afternoon for an hour on my way back from Neah Bay, and did not see the booby.
However, there were many LONG-TAILED DUCKS to watch, as well as PIGEON GUILLEMOT, COMMON MURRE, MARBLED MURRELET, and ANCIENT MURRELET.
I also saw two PARASITIC JAEGER out by the lighthouse, one chasing the other until gulls took on both of them.
And I had a pretty close flyby of a FORK-TAILED STORM PETREL.
