Subject: [Tweeters] Cooper's Hawk Band 134-11

Yesterday we had a visit from a Cooper's Hawk to our bird feeders
smorgasbord. The hawk hung around for about 15+ minutes. I did get some
great views of the hawk with my scope. It had a silver band on its right
leg with a number that was something like 134-11. It was difficult to get
the entire number since it is not visible all at once. The 3 looked like a
3 or an 8 depending on the lighting but I think it was a 3. The band
circled the leg as the hawk preened itself so I got bits of the number over
time. We live near the corner of 37th Avenue NE and NE 48th Street in North
East Seattle.

I can't recall who did the banding or who might be interested in this
sighting so I am posting it here in case that group monitors Tweeters.
