I have been trying to figure out which of our local birds actually eat the fruits of the exotic cherry laurel (Prunus laurocerasus). All the scientific literature agrees it is bird dispersed, and there is some information on what birds eat its fruit in its native Eurasia, but I have found no specific information for our region. Has anyone ever actually seen a bird or other wild animal eat a cherry laurel fruit?
