Hello All,
Linnaea Chapman and I (quickly joined by Brad Waggoner) observed an adult
breeding plumaged Red-legged Kittiwake at the stream outlet near the Makah
Senior Center in Neah Bay. The bird flew several times between the stream
(where gulls bathe) and a rocky point just the east (where it roosted for
some time and gave good views). We were on the bird from about 1:45 to
2:30. A more recent quick check at 3:15 did not produce the bird, but I
hope it is still in the vicinity.
Also last night, a Snowy Plover appeared at dusk on Hobuck Beach. More
details on eBird.
Cheers,
Charlie Wright.
