A lot of Audubon folks led by Cindy Easterson put a ton of thought and effort into putting together and pulling off last night's Monroe Swift Night Out. As day turned to night what could have been a no birds disaster was saved by 200 acrobatic Vaux?s and one hungry Merlin.

Strange things are happening on the Pacific Flyway. Friday there were 30,000 VASW seen at the SF McNear Brickyard and just one in Eugene.

Meanwhile in Chimney Swift land, its 62 degrees at noon in Detroit and a big bunch of Chimney Swifts are hunkered down in the Farmington Swift Sanctuary. Check it out. http://www.wildearth.tv/cam/detroit-chimney-swifts <http://www.wildearth.tv/cam/detroit-chimney-swifts>
