As the late summer sun is setting on the Sammamish valley, Mark Knopfler's guitar lays out an intoxicating Celtic inspired arrangement, with violin, flute, and pipes. In that moment, above and behind the stage, crows appear. A few at first, then more, and eventually hundreds, and hundreds, and for a moment a seemingly endless stream, flowing to roost across a twilight sky. Eventually the crows diminish, and are gone, replaced with stars. It was really really cool, way better than the MTV.
