We stayed at La Paloma Lodge on Drake's Bay which is on the north part of the Osa Peninsula. Amazing spot and good birding. They lead trips into Corcovado National Park.

Another place we looked at that seems awesome but pricey is Lapa Rios.

January is a good time to be there. The weather is great (not much rain).

You should try to book as soon as possible. The good places book early that time of year.

Have fun!

Your suggestions for a one-week visit in January would be most helpful. Also, your thoughts on birding CR in January would be appreciated. I expect it?s not the best time but perhaps good enough?
