Had not heard them for the last week or so, but to-day there were 2-3 N. Ravens calling & flying over their normal patch of thicker forest & soaring along the South Bluff. Must be at least six weeks that they have been present and they must be considering nesting.

One factor must be the presence/absence of American Crows, which appear spasmodically in groups of 50+ around the park and pay close attention to the Ravens. But crow nesting activity has stepped up in the neighborhoods now the leaves are filling out street tree canopy and crows appear less common. If you notice breeding activity for the ravens, perhaps you would let me know, but please don't disturb them. Thanks, David
