This morning on the way into Belfair for physical therapy my attention was drawn to the waterfront along North Shore Rd. A gull, species unknown, was being shadowed by a crow as the gull flew up with a clam, dropped it and flew back to retrieve breakfast. The crow flew up with the gull, stopped at the same point then plummeted with the gull after the morsel. It was like watching the dense black shadow of the gull move for move only the shadow was flying and not on the ground. Don't know who got the tasty morsel, hopefully the one that had worked hardest for it.
