I was at Green Lake last night between 6-8pm (4/25) and spotted an osprey with a branch hanging from its leg by some fishing line (looked very thin and transparent at 12x mag). It was circling the northern portion of the lake with 3 others nearby. I'm concerned that the line may have had a fishing lure with hooks attached and may be embedded in its leg. Does anyone know whom to contact regarding this problem? I'm concerned that it will not be able to hunt effectively and might starve. Please help!
