Just left the snowy egret perched atop a snag preening at its habitual spot near 6236 39th St. E. What a stunner! Note: if you want good views, waterproof shoes (or better, rain boots) are simply a must! I'm glad I brought mine. Two great egrets (don't worry, I have a photo of one) also flew over, giving me an straight egret flush! Ryan Merrill's black phoebe provided a few calls but would not come into view. The marsh also had green and great blue herons, and a small flock of shorebirds including both yellowlegs. Fun times in Fife!
