This morning les Carlson and I went hunting for shorebirds in Skamania County and despite excellent mudflats at Rock Creek and Home Valley Park we couldn't even find a Killdeer. But at the mouth of the Wind River we spotted a lone WHITE-WINGED SCOTER in the Columbia River. Only other good birds were two GREAT EGRETS at Franz Lake and another at Skamania Landing. Wilson Cady
