Yes, the plumage of juvenile crows does have a brownish cast, and lacks the glossiness of adult plumage. The juveniles should be molting into adult plumage by the end of the month.

I have found pictures of brown crows online, and have heard that juvenile Northwestern Crows are brown, although I don't know this for a fact.
