The pale mallards are several shades lighter than the normal mallards. They are a light tan and whitish gray, but have the same size, body shape, and mannerisms as the other mallards. This is the first time that I have noticed a male with this coloring. It will be interesting to see if he develops any green later on. The other ducks seem to pick on the pale mallards, which I presume is because of their color.
