A fine day (61degF at start; 78degF at end; clear skies and mild breeze at
times) for birding for 14 of us, despite this being the doldrums. Notable
sightings include the first OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER and PURPLE MARTIN of the
year. Other finds include an overflight of a SHARP-SHINNED HAWK (pursued by
Barn Swallows), and two CASSIN'S VIREOS.
The JBLM Eagles Pride GC birders meet the third Thursday of each month at
8:00AM. Starting point is Bldg # 1514, Driving Range Tee, Eagles Pride Golf
Course, I-5 Exit 116, Mounts Road Exit. Upcoming walks include the
