Hi Tweeters,

The official night flight over my small Battle Ground, Clark County yard
started at about 4:20 this morning when the *blurps* of Swainson's Thrushes
were audible overhead. Not many but it was encouraging to hear them
again. There was also a very thin chip which was probably a Chipping
Sparrow. The big news was that I heard TWO Western Screech Owls (calling
at the same time) - the first time I've heard two since moving here 11
years ago!

After visiting a local spot on Larch Mountain, Clark County, I returned
home to find a few migrants working the vegetation around the edge of the
yard:

Wilson's Warbler: 2
Warbling Vireo: 1
Common Yellowthroat: 1
Black-throated Gray Warbler: 1
Yellow Warbler: 1
Western Tanager: 1 (heard only)
Black-headed Grosbeak: 1 (heard only)
LAZULI BUNTING: 1 (flyover buzz chip)

Keep your eyes and ears skyward.

Jim
