On the outer beach half way between the Best Western and the casino is a large flock of mixed shorebird one juvenile Red Knot and one molting adult with a green band and the number 17 on it. Also lots of Black-bellied Plovers and at least 20 juvenile Baird's Sandpipers plus a few Dunlin, lots of juvenile Semipalmated Plovers and Western Sandpipers
