Hi Tweeters,

I made it to the Utah Wetlands in Discovery Park around 1:20 today. Greg
Thompson was already there and had seen the Northern Waterthrush a few
minutes earlier. It popped out of the reeds around 1:30 and flew across
the remnant of the pond, landed, bobbed its tail and vanished again. It
reappeared around 1:40 and stayed in view long enough for us to get a good
look (and Greg to snap a few photos, I believe), bobbed its tail a bit
more, and then vanished again into the reeds. The small marsh was full of
A. Goldfinches, Cedar Waxwings, and lesser numbers of other common species
as well.

Good birding,
