Hi tweets
After reading reports of these two great birds in BIRDING IN B.C. website for the past few days, we drove up .both are at the end of 104th st. Off of highway 99 .turn right at
Ladner trunk road then left over the highway and left again at the first light.
Drive till you see 104th.st and turn right .(we saw pectorals , least sandpipers and killdeers in a field to the left along 104th.) drive to the end by a tiny airport.there is
Public parking and a gravel walking ,bicycling trail parallels the Boundary bay.
The BEAUTIFUL Ruff was right(west) of 104th with a mixed flock of pectoral, bairds (1)least , western and
Semipalmated (1) sandpipers ,killdeers and semipalmated plovers.
It was moving fast but close to the shore.
There are some pilings further west .2 lesser yellowlegs were there.

The VERY ATTRACTIVE buff breasted was about 1/4-1/3 of a mile east(left) of 104th.also seen near to a few
Pectoral sandpipers. There were 4 buffies yesterday and a person we met said he had seen all 4 earlier but it was raining hard so they scattered.
A scope is helpful .

We had very quick border crossings ,less than 5 minutes at the truck crossing.,each direction.
We were there when the tides were very low ,from 1-4pm.but there was s sufficient mud for all the shorebirds to find food .
Other good birds are reported but the rain eventually prevailed!
Check the BIRDING IN B.C. website for more info .
