Hello all,

While birding Ice Harbor Dam area yesterday afternoon we were treated to
a 40 minute flyover of many thousands of Snow Geese - they were flying
southwest toward McNary NWR - and they covered the sky! Around 400 a
minute - we figure at least 12,000 birds. In the lead group were two
"Blue Geese"

Below the dam were many birds including 103 White Pelicans, 26 Barrow's
Goldeneye, 60 Common Mergansers, 2 Red-breasted Mergansers, 1 Mew Gull
in with hundreds of gulls that came in to Mike's chumming. Two Northern
Shrike were chasing each other on the island.

Above the dam were over 200 Western Grebes with one Red-necked Grebe -

Good birding, ML
