Mike's daily report and photos, which he sends out to any who wish, are always at least fun and interesting. Often the photography is stunning and uplifting, as was yesterday's. Pulls one out of a dank, dark, dreary, depressing day quite marvelously. Wildlife does that for me, especially when, like today, driving to any habitat away from home, is something I prefer not to do. And after listening to today's Radiolab show on NPR, my enjoyment of today, as having been governed by my gut feelings and not as much by rational choice-making, has turned this "D" day into a 'sunny' day of promise for the outdoor birding days to come, sometime.
