Subject: [Tweeters] Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission meeting today

Tweeters,
Just to let everyone know, the Commission voted on and approved the following recommendations that the WDFW biologists' made for Washington state:

- Up-listed MARBLED MURRELET from Threatened to Endangered (over 1700 letters of support for this up-listing)
- Up-listed LYNX from Threatened to Endangered
- Down-listed AMERICAN WHITE PELICAN from Endangered to Threatened - interesting point here was Commissioner Thorburn's statement regarding the fact that there's only one American White Pelican colony in Washington state, and that it should be monitored to ensure viability. This is something the Wildlife Diversity Advisory Council brought up at last month's Commission meeting.
- Took both BALD EAGLE and PEREGRINE FALCON off the listing.

Thanks and may all your birds be identified,

Denis DeSilvis
