Subject: [Tweeters] NO Rustic Bunting yesterday (Neah Bay)

Hi All,

I arrived to Neah Bay yesterday at 10AM and went promptly to Boom Rd. When
I arrived, other birders had been searching the road since 8AM. Myself and
other birders searched the road on and off throughout the day. I quit
searching and headed home at 2PM.

No one had seen the Rustic Bunting from 8AM-2PM yesterday to my knowledge.
Junco flocks were scoured diligently. Junco flocks showed up around 11AM
and were on the road intermittently until I left at 2PM. We drove the road
above the Boom Road a bit, on Cape Loop Road but no luck. Hopefully it
shows back up for those who look today.

Consolation birds include Clark's Grebe (near the shore at the beginning of
Boom Rd), Tufted Duck (juvenile behind Senior Center), Long-Tailed Duck,
and juvenile Black Scoter.

Good luck to birders going bunting hunting,
