Hello all
19 folks join us for our annual field trip - under cloudy skies all day
with a cool breeze. It was a very enjoyable day with great company and
18 owls - a low number for this field trip.

Hood Park - 1 N. Saw-whet Owl
Ice Harbor Dam - 1 Mew Gull, 2 Long-tailed Ducks, 7 Barrow's Goldeneye
Charbonneau Park - 1 N. Saw-whet Owl, 1 Barn Owl, 14 Bald Eagles
Fish Hook Park - 5 N. Saw-whet Owls, 2 Barn Owls, 1 Great Horned Owl,
30+ Purple Finches
Eureka - 1 Great Horned Owl
Lyon's Ferry road - 3 Rough-legged Hawks
Lyon's Ferry Park - 1 N. Saw-whet Owl, 1 Great Horned Owl 4 Brown
Creepers, 2 Mountain Chickadees, 40+ Lesser Goldfinches, 1 Varied Thrush
Corner on 261 - 2 Great Horned Owls
Diablo Canyon - 6 Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches
Windust Park at dusk - 2 well-hidden Long-eared Owls, 2 Mountain
Chickadees, 1 Canyon Wren singing across the river, 5000+ Starlings
