Driving out Wylie road in the Skagit area when a northern harrier popped up
and paced our car flying just ahead of us and right on the side of the road.
Twice it dipped down, the second time it came up with a good sized townsends
vole. It was apparently using our car as a way to catch mice. This seemed
vaguely familiar and I went through my field notes and had the same thing
occur, on the same road 4 years ago.
