Andy and Ellen Stepniewski and I just did a brief stop at Vantage on our way to Soap Lake and Okanogan county, finding a pair of Red-breasted Mergansers below Wanapum dam, and a first year male Surf Scoter in a small raft of Scaup just above the dam (within the buoy line). Not much else of note, not a Coot to be found!
