Hello, I have a friend who lives outside Brewster, Wa. This last week he
had a Sharp-shinned Hawk in his yard that had a red band on the right leg.
On the left left was something metal, that looked like it was clamped on;
a small round "ball" with 2 prongs pointing up. Any ideas? Could it be a
falconer's bird, and this held the jess? He only saw it the one time, and
