Hello Tweeters,

I tried for a second time to find the Common Redpolls that
people have been reporting at Green Lake and was rewarded with success
today. There was a small flock of about 15 birds heading south along the
eastern edge of the lake north of the bathroom on that side of the lake (so
well north of NE 65th). I was pleased to see several males in the group,
looking pinky-red. There were about 300 feet behind a small flock of BC
Chickadees and Bush Tits also heading south. Aside from the usual suspects,
I also saw a Brown Creeper in a cedar tree right next to the trail in the
vicinity of the wading pool.

Happy birding, Charlotte Byers, Seattle
