Wow, this would be great camouflage if it was in a snowy area! Thank goodness for the blackberry brambles.

That's the most fully leucistic plumage without being albino that I have seen. I wonder when it molts if the feathers will come back in with color.

Black-capped Chickadees often have extra white feathers, especially on their heads, as first year juveniles, but the following year after molting (recaptured after the first banding), their plumage was "corrected".

I have often wondered what caused this anomaly--food, or lack there of, usually results in barring in the tail feathers, no barring was seen.
Maybe the type of food?
Temperature when the egg was being brooded?
Genetics?-(like toe-headedness in human young where their hair darkens as they age)
