Subject: [Tweeters] Walla Walla Co. January 1 BIG DAY
Date: Jan 2 20:25:58 2016
From: Mike & MerryLynn - m.denny at charter.net

Hello all,
Back home catching up after a very cold Tricities CBC today. We found a
poor Say's Phoebe west of Sacajawea Park looking very cold.

Our combined total for yesterday stands at 113 species - one less than
last year - and Blue Jay, Tree Sparrow and Marsh Wren were found today.

Highlights from the 1st of January - 20 folks reported birds so far:

WESTERN BLUEBIRD - at Bennington Lake (and more found today in WW)
PURPLE FINCH - at Fishook Park
RUSTY BLACKBIRD - at the Dodd road blood pond
GRAY-CROWNED ROSY-FINCH - at LOMO Dam gravel pit
SHORT-EARED OWL - at LOMO Dam
GREAT GRAY OWL - up in the Blue Mts.

Worst miss - Cedar Waxwing. Will get the list up soon.

Happy birding in 2016, MerryLynn
