Hi, fellow birders. I was so excited the other day when one of the
birders with me saw the owl, as a life bird. It sounds like that was
true for others also. Does anyone know for sure that the object hanging
from the limb is the Hawk Owl? I talked with the gentleman the other
day,(Wed., the 6th) and we even offered to let him look through the scope,
but he declined.

All he said was that bins and scopes were okay, but no photos; and no
trespassing; to ask for permission first. Sure didn't seem upset enough
for this action!! A very, very sad day if it is true. Meredith Spencer,
