Following up a report from Bruce Lagerquist, I was able to see a small flock of Common Redpolls at the south end of Magnuson Park this afternoon. Together with Daniel Melamed, we counted somewhere between 10 and 12 birds, mixed in with a couple American Goldfinch and Ruby-crowned Kinglet. The flock was in a tall birch tree just west of where the Promontory Point trail merges with the trail along the south fence line.

This is the first eBird record for Common Redpoll in Magnuson Park; historical records indicate only 1 or 2 previous sightings.
