Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird report. This report
was made Thursday January 14. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

The South Beach State Park MOUNTAIN PLOVER continues to be seen. The
YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER at Cheadle Lake in Lebanon continues, as does the
one near the Ferry Street Bridge in Eugene.

On January 9 two SNOW BUNTINGS, 72 SNOWY PLOVERS, 20 SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS,
and 100 WESTERN SANDPIPERS were on the North Spit of Coos Bay. At Nehalem
Bay State Park January 13 were 15 SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS and two WESTERN
SANDPIPERS. A pure EURASIAN GREEN-WINGED TEAL and two hybrids are now being
seen along Hwy 20 east of Newport. On January 8 a LARK SPARROW was at Sunset
Beach State Park north of Gearhart.

A group of three TREE SWALLOWS were seen January 8 at Ridgefield NWR. On
January 9 a female WILLIAMSON?S SAPSUCKER was at Mt. Tabor Park in Portland.
At least one SHORT-EARED OWL is now at Broughton Beach near the Portland
Airport. A YELLOWTHROAT was in McMinnville January 8. MOUNTAIN CHICKADEES
continue to be reported in the Willamette Valley.

Up to 36 PINE GROSBEAKS were seen during the week in the Tumalo Falls area
west of Bend. On January 9 four REDPOLLS were in Boardman. BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS
were reported during the week in the Wallowa Valley.
