Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday January 21. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

The South Beach State Park MOUNTAIN PLOVER continues as does the Eugene
YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER. On January 18 a male TUFTED DUCK was photographed
at Jackson Bottom in Hillsboro. It can be seen from the overlook behind the
visitor center. On January 19 a RUSTY BLACKBIRD was seen along Tangent Loop
Road south of Tangent.

On January 18 a NASHVILLE WARBLER was photographed at a Brookings feeder. An
OSPREY was at Bandon January 20. The Cutler City HARRIS?S SPARROW continues
to be seen. A female PINE GROSBEAK is now being seen along the Netul Landing
Trail in the Fort Clatsop National Monument south of Astoria.

A HARLAN?S HAWK was reported January 15 at Ridgefield NWR. On January 18
five TRUMPETER SWANS, a CINNAMON TEAL, and a BLACK PHOEBE were at the
Fernhill Wetlands in Forest Grove. That day a group of 10 TREE SWALLOWS were
at Hagg Lake south of Forest Grove. On January 17 up to 19 SHORT-EARED OWLS
and 90 BALD EAGLES were at the roost near Tangent. A probable PURPLE MARTIN
was seen January 20 at Fern Ridge Reservoir. That day a LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE
was off Royal Avenue east of Fern Ridge .

A REDPOLL was seen January 18 among a goldfinch flock at Chenowith Creek
along the Columbia River Scenic Hwy in The Dalles. Small numbers of
BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS are now being reported from the Wallowa Valley.
