Sorry for the late report but it was family day at Nisqually
Wednesday...for the birds.

Highlights included a pair of BULLOCK'S ORIOLES feeding 2 young near the
education center,, a pair of VIRGINIA RAIL with 4 young inside the
boardwalk heading to the twin barns and a DOWNY WOODPECKER and a HAIRY
WOODPECKER each feeding a fledgling in the same big leaf maple at the
picnic area near the twin barns.

On the waterfowl side we had a female WOOD DUCK with several young and a
hen MALLARD with ducklings.

For the day I had 43 species with nothing new for the year.

Until Wednesday when Eric will lead in my absence.....
