Subject: Intergrade Northern Flicker?

Today I watched a fledgling Northern Flicker being fed by its parent on my deck. ?The fledgling has a red nape. ?Does that indicate that it is an intergrade? ?I could not see what color the wing and tail feathers were below. ?
