OK, I know, according to the literature, that ravens may occasionally
take small/young birds but I didn't think that crows did. This
evening, saw a crow (might have been small raven but don't think so)
in the yard and he had apparently attacked a small bird; might have
been a young white-crown or gold finch. The crow flew away and the
small bird was flapping around obviously seriously injured. In a
couple of minutes, the crow came back, grabbed the small bird and flew away.
There was only the one bird so not a "murder," but still....
