Hey tweeters!
On this past friday I went with my family to deception pass state park for
an outing, and managed to do a little birding white there and on the way. I
got my mom to stop for 10 minutes at Padilla bay and saw 6 american white
pelicans, as I had hoped!
Actually at deception pass were a bunch of Pigeon Gullemots and Rhino
Auklets, a singing Olive-sided Flycatcher that I couldn't locate and a
bunch of mongrel olympic or not gulls.
Also, on the ferry ride back from clinton to mukilteo I spotted a bunch of
Rhino Auklets and Capsian terns, and really close in at the mukilteo ferry
dock there was a breeding plumage Marbled Murrelet just hanging around.
Pretty cool, and the best looks I've had of those guys!!
Seeing all of the posts about MAMU got me thinking about this little
bugger, who didn't seem to have a partner.... I wonder why he was there?
Good birding!
