Hi tweets
There were 2 breeding plumage red knots along with numerous black bellied plovers
And short billed dowitchers seen as the tide was about 8 feet.
Then all flew away as the tide rose and covered the spit with water.
Also good numbers of caspian terns on the spit.
Other shorebirds in the bay include killdeers, spotted sandpipers(4),least sandpipers
& 1 sanderling .
Other bay birds include bald eagles - nest with 2 large juveniles , 1 osprey,GBH, purple Martins, pigeon guillemots, belted kingfishers,Cedar waxwings.
Cheers, Maxine Reid.
