Speaking of Scrub-jays, a few days ago, my husband and I saw one with food in its mouth flying from one tree to another before we lost it. This was a few houses from ours in the lower Phinney Ridge neighborhood. We?ve noticed them at our feeders, as well as in our trees from time to time.

I have heard reports in the past about these birds nesting in our area and wonder if this one was taking food to some young.
